The fairytale town of Hallstatt,

It goes down in history,

It’s houses – a pastel palette,

Oh! It is a bohemian beauty.

Born a thousand decades ago,

Mountains still guard it with glory,

Overlooking the serene and magnum lake,

Oh! It hosts many a mystery.

Pristinely pure and aloof it stays,

Far away from a worrisome world,

Encased in a music of the past,

Oh! How many of its stories remain untold! 

Was it a King that walked the street today? 

Or was it the Queen from Once upon a time? 

Halstatt has fogs and mists of the mind

That brings to life tales and rhymes. 

If there were to be, a place I would flee

Halstatt - it would be to thee!
